H1N1 Swine Flu - インフルエンザとマイタケ -
2009年 10月 27日
The H1N1 flu is now everyone's concern everywhere. I happened to learn from the news about this effective way to prevent and treat against flu by intake of one vegetable. It is Maitake mushroom (舞茸・まいたけ: specific name: Grifola frondosa). I am not sure whether you can find this mushroom in your neighborhood; however, if you do, please try them.
In Japan, Maitake is very popular and we can buy every grocery shop. Especially, in winter, we have many opportunities to eat "Nabe" (鍋料理;one-pot cooked meal) and any Japanese mushrooms are essential for it. Please be noted that nutritious elements of these mushrooms are water-soluble; hence, you must take mushrooms as well as its soup. In this case, Nabe is the perfect for this treatment because after we finish eating, we put a noodle or rice into the remaining soup to eat it up.
Hope you find this information useful and, most of all, all of us will be OK!
